The band VAN gave its first concert on April 1, 2008. The current line-up was formed in 2008, after our ex-singer and guitarist left and Roland Karosi joined the band. Our five-song demo was released in 2009, which you can listen to and also download from our website. In May 2009, the band won a talent show organized by Nyíregyháza-based “Mustárház” as a result of which we had the opportunity to record six additional songs. VAN performed in several festivals in 2008, which was a great foundation for the year 2009. The band became complete in 2010 when we were joined by Szilárd Domokos, our sound technician.

Our show consists of original songs including instrumental as well as vocal tracks. Our style is hard to define – supposing it is important to. It could be classified mostly as world music, since several of our songs are characterized by folkloric instruments and tunes, but at the same time, the band has never added any existing folk music elements to any of the songs – making it a mixture of rock, folk and pop music, that is, fusion music.
